abstract |
(57) Abstract: A catalyst comprising at least 70 wt% of a substantially amorphous bimetallic cyanide (DMC) complex, and a water-soluble metal salt aqueous solution and water-soluble in the presence of a complexing agent. A method in which an aqueous metal cyanide salt solution is intimately mixed and reacted to produce an aqueous mixture containing a precipitated DMC complex catalyst, and the DMC complex catalyst is separated and dried. [Effect] Greatly active for epoxide polymerization. The polyol product produced with the catalyst of the present invention is very clear, has very low unsaturation and does not contain detectable amounts of low molecular weight polyol impurities. |
