abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To provide a method for producing a resin having excellent moldability (thermoplasticity) and mechanical / thermal properties. According to the method for producing a thermoplastic resin of the present invention, an organic carboxylic acid mainly having an organic carboxylic acid having a polymerizable double bond and having 5 or more carbon atoms and a polyvalent metal compound are mixed with a water-immiscible solvent. The ratio of the polymerizable metal salt compound (A) in the polymerizable monomer mixture composed of the polymerizable metal salt compound (A) and the vinyl monomer (B) synthesized by reacting in the solution is 0.2. It is characterized in that the polymerizable monomer mixture prepared so as to be in the range of 10 mol% is copolymerized.
