(57) [Summary] [Structure] An agent for reducing peripheral neuropathy caused by administration of a drug, which comprises PACAP (pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide) as an active ingredient. [Effects] This substance was effective against neurite formation disorders of PC12 cells and DRG cells or disorders of formed neurites caused by drugs, especially various antitumor agents. In addition, this substance was found to be effective in improving the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy models by administration of various antitumor agents to mice. |
