abstract (57) Abstract: [PROBLEMS] To provide a polyester resin which imparts excellent hygroscopicity, antistatic property and dyeability of a cationic dye to the fiber itself without deteriorating properties such as yarn strength inherent to the polyester fiber. A polyester resin obtained by using a sulfamic acid (salt) group-containing compound represented by the following general formula as an essential copolymerization component. [Wherein X 1 and X 2 are each independently an organic group having one hydroxyl group, one carboxyl group or an organic group having an ester-forming derivative group or a hydrogen atom (provided that X 1 and X 2 are None of them are hydrogen atoms.), M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, ammonium, a tertiary amine or a quaternary ammonium, and a represents an ionic valence of M. ]
