abstract | (57) [Summary] [Structure] Ethylene and an olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms are co-dimerized in the presence of a catalyst prepared by supporting an alkali metal on a granular carrier composed of an anhydrous potassium compound and carbon. In the method for producing 3-ethyl-1-olefin, a method for producing 3-ethyl-1-olefin, which comprises contacting the catalyst with propylene and then performing co-dimerization. [Effect] In the co-dimerization of ethylene with an olefin having 4 or more carbon atoms, by carrying out the co-dimerization after contacting the catalyst with propylene, it is possible to obtain high reaction selectivity with increased low-temperature activity. A method for producing methyl-1-olefin is provided. |
