(57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for efficiently producing an optically active α-methylalkanedicarboxylic acid-ω-monoester with high optical purity and its enantiomer diester. [Structure] A racemate of a specific α-methylalkanedicarboxylic acid diester is allowed to act on a culture, fungus body or treated product of a microorganism having the ability to asymmetrically hydrolyze an ester bond, and the (R) form α- Methylalkanedicarboxylic acid-ω -A method for producing a monoester and a (S) -form α-methylalkanedicarboxylic acid diester. |
