A) a starting polyamine mixture in a first extraction step (i) a hydrophobic solvent and optionally an aromatic auxiliary amine) and optionally a hydrophobic solvent phase consisting essentially of polyamine, (ii) ) Mixing with a two-phase system consisting of an aqueous phase consisting of water, a strong acid and an auxiliary amine and optionally a polyamine, introduced into the first extraction stage and draining the aqueous phase and the first organic phase. b) fractionating the first organic phase in a first distillation stage, c) adding a base to neutralize the first aqueous phase, and the resulting mixture into a second aqueous phase and a second organic phase.
