abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing a roller that homogenizes the physical properties (density, hardness, etc.) of the roller very easily. According to a method of manufacturing a roller of the present invention, in a method of manufacturing a roller used in a mechanism such as electrophotography or electrostatic recording, a material of an elastic layer of the roller is provided in a cavity formed inside a molding die. The foam is injected from the upper end of the molding die.
