abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To eliminate uneven charging due to application of an oscillating voltage during charging in a proximity charging device. [Structure] The surface of the photosensitive drum 101 is in a non-contact state, A plurality of contact charging members 102 and 103 are arranged, and charging voltages are applied by different power sources 104 and 105, respectively. The frequency and phase of the oscillating voltage applied as these charging voltages are individually adjusted by the controller 106. As a result, good charging can be performed without increasing the voltage and frequency, and the life of the charging members 102 and 103 can be extended. |
