(57) [Summary] [Structure] A hematopoietic suppressor characterized by having the following properties. (A) 10 mM N- (2-hydroxyethyl) piperazine-N′-2-containing 130 mM sodium chloride at pH 7.4. Adsorbs to wheat germ lectin under ethanesulfonic acid (HEPES) buffer conditions. (B) By gel filtration, the molecular weight is eluted at a position of 150,000 ± 50000. (C) Adsorption to blue dye under phosphate buffered saline (PBS) conditions. (D) Inhibits mouse bone marrow megakaryocyte amplification activity. [Effect] It has an activity of suppressing the expansion of megakaryocytes, and is effective for the treatment of acute leukemia, idiopathic myelofibrosis, etc. |
