titleOfInvention Size-modulated stochastic screening
abstract (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To produce a lithographic printing plate by a DTR process. A method for generating a screened reproduction of a multi-tone image frequency-modulates or stochastic screens the multi-image to obtain screened data representing the tones of the multi-tone image in halftone dots. And reproducing the halftone dots in the imaging element using scanning exposure, wherein the size or composition of the halftone dots is that of the microdots (or rel) that make up the halftone dots. It is modulated by changing the number.
