titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal composition and liquid crystal display device |
abstract | (57) Abstract: A relatively high Δn and low viscosity liquid crystal material for TN and STN display systems. A liquid crystal composition containing a first component (a compound of formula Ic), a second component (a compound of formula II-c), and a third component (a compound of the compound group of formula III and formula IV). Embedded image In the formula, R 1 represents C 1-10 alkyl, R 2 , R 3 , R 4 and R 5 represent C 1-10 alkyl or C 2-10 alkenyl, and one or a phase in the group of R 2-5 Two non-adjacent methylenes may be substituted by -O-, R 6 represents C 1-10 alkyl, alkoxy or alkoxymethyl, and Z 1 and Z 3 are -CH 2 CH. 2- , -COO- or a single bond, Z 2 is -C≡C-, -COO-, -CH 2 CH 2- Or a single bond, Z 4 is -C≡C-, -COO- or a single bond, and Q 1 is H. Or F, A 2 , B, C and E are trans-1,4-cyclohexylene or 1,4-phenylene, D is trans-1,4-cyclohexylene or H at the 2- or 3-position is F. And 1,4-phenylene, each of which may be substituted with, respectively, and l represents 0 or 1. |
