abstract |
(57) PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunscreen composition which maximizes a protection factor from the sun but minimizes a level of a color forming monomer organic compound. SOLUTION: (i) about 1 to about 90% by weight of water; (ii) About 1 to about 90% by weight of emollient oil, (iii) about 0.1 to about 30% by weight of an organic sunscreen agent having a chromophore group active in the ultraviolet wavelength range of 290 to 400 nm, and ( iv) from about 0.1 to about 50% by weight of a microfluidized medium; said medium comprising from about 1 to about 80% by weight of water about 0.001. To about 5% by weight phospholipid; about 1 to about 50% by weight component (i A sunscreen composition comprising the same organic sunscreen agent as in ii), preparing said medium and mixing components (i) to (iii) after microfluidization. |
