| abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of quickly and completely dispensing during a washing cycle when contained in a dispenser. A preferred pouch comprising both a preferred detergent and a preferred fabric softener / antistatic agent is placed in the washing machine with the fabric to be washed at the beginning of the wash cycle. The dispenser stays in the washing machine throughout the wash cycle in which almost all of the preferred detergent composition is released into the wash liquor. The fabric softener / antistatic agent remains inert inside the dispenser during both the wash and wash cycles. The dispenser is carried over to the dryer with the laundry, where the fabric softener / antistatic agent flakes melt and exit by capillary action through the wall of the dispenser at a controlled rate. When the pouch comes into contact with the loaded garment during rotation, the fabric softener / antistatic agent transfers from the outer surface of the pouch to the laundry to be treated. |
