abstract (57) Abstract: An acyl fluoride derivative is produced from a carbinol derivative through a 1,1-difluoroethylene derivative by a safe and simple operation. SOLUTION: A specific polyhalogenated carbinol derivative is reacted with a lead compound in a polar solvent in the presence of a metal having a higher ionization tendency than lead to obtain a 1,1-difluoroethylene derivative, which is treated with an acid.
