titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal display device and manufacturing method thereof |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a liquid crystal display device which is capable of easily filling a liquid crystal material into a device in a short time, has uniform display characteristics on a display screen, and a manufacturing method thereof. [Structure] A liquid crystal display element is constituted by sealing a peripheral portion with a first sealing material 3a and an second sealing material provided in an island shape. The first sealing material 3a is formed in an island shape at the four corners to hold the electrode substrates 1 and 2 facing each other with a gap, and the polymer dispersion type liquid crystal is formed between the substrate and the missing portion of the first sealing material 3a by a capillary phenomenon. The precursor 4 is filled and cured to form a polymer-dispersed liquid crystal, which is then sealed with a second sealing material to be manufactured. |
