abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] Chloride glass base material containing gadolinium chloride as a glass forming agent and alkaline earth chloride as a glass forming aid, and contains erbium chloride as a luminescent center source and ytterbium chloride as a sensitizer. Wavelength conversion glass material. [Effect] The light conversion efficiency in the green to violet region is remarkably superior to that of the conventional fluoride-based wavelength conversion glass material, and moreover, it is easier to manufacture than the crystalline wavelength conversion material.
