abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] An object of the present invention is to provide a highly efficient metathesis reaction catalyst with few by-products in a catalyst for synthesizing useful substances from olefins. [Structure] A crystalline oxide porous body having a large number of pores, wherein the pores have an average diameter in the range of 1 to 10 nm, and 80% or more of the pores in the porous body have an average diameter. A porous body distributed within a range of ± 40% of the average diameter around the diameter, and a catalyst component which is arranged in the pores of the porous body and has activity for the metathesis reaction. Olefin metathesis reaction catalyst. This catalyst can suppress the generation of by-products, facilitates isolation of reaction products, and improves productivity.
