(57) Abstract: An automatic synergistic antioxidant that provides excellent oxidation resistance to an oxidizable organic material at a low content level is provided. SOLUTION: 1 mol of alkylated phenol, 0.5 to 1.5 mol of C 6-14 primary mercaptan, 0.5 to 2.25 mol of aqueous formaldehyde, 0.1 to 10% by weight based on alkylated phenol. Toluene sulfonic acid, methane sulfonic acid, xylene sulfonic acid, and other acids, and an appropriate amount of azeotropic solvent are mixed, heated to a temperature of up to 150 ° C while removing the reaction water, and reacted to finally neutralize the acid. Subsequent separation of the reaction product results in an autosynergistic antioxidant useful for organic materials such as natural and synthetic rubber. |
