(57) Abstract: To introduce a polar functionality or a functionality having a low surface energy into a star block copolymer. A core functionalized star block copolymer formed from i) at least one block of vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon, and / or ii) at least one block of conjugated diene, and iii) a polyalkenyl aromatic coupling agent. A star block copolymer, wherein functionalization of the core is provided by reaction of the core of the star polymer with an asymmetric difunctional or polyfunctional capping agent. |
