titleOfInvention | Metal salt of xanthate and lubricating oil composition containing the metal salt of xanthate |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a lubricating oil composition containing a novel compound which is a novel compound useful as a friction reducing agent even under a wide range of friction conditions. [Structure] General formula [1] (R 1 and R 2 are C1-30 hydrocarbon groups, M is molybdenum or tungsten, X 1 and X 2 are oxygen atoms or sulfur atoms, and Y 1 and Y 2 are oxygen atoms or sulfur atoms. The present invention provides a lubricating oil composition comprising a metal xanthate of a compound represented by the formula (1) and a lubricating base oil containing at least one selected from the metal xanthates. [Effect] The metal salt of xanthogenic acid of the present invention is useful as a friction reducing agent capable of coping with a wide range of different friction conditions, and a lubricating oil composition containing the same is excellent in friction characteristics, abrasion resistance, etc. It is suitable as an engine oil with reduced fuel consumption. |
