abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] A polymer liquid crystal having polyoxetane as a main chain and having a repeating unit represented by the following general formula (I). Embedded image (In the formula, R represents a substituent, X represents a spacer species, Y represents a group serving as a core part, and Z represents a terminal group containing a chiral group. ) A liquid crystal element is obtained by sandwiching a liquid crystal film made of this polymer liquid crystal between substrates having a pair of electrodes. [Effect] Since the response speed to the electric field change is high even in a high temperature region, it is possible to display a moving image, and further, it can be suitably used as a display element for a large screen or a bent screen.
