abstract (57) Abstract: A method for preparing a mutant Escherichia coli ribonuclease HI that retains the enzymatic activity of natural E. coli ribonuclease HI and has improved stability is provided. SOLUTION: The 52nd Ala of natural E. coli ribonuclease HI is replaced with Val, Ile, or Leu, or in addition to this substitution, the 74th Val is added with Leu. The mutant in which the intramolecular void is filled with the substituted amino acid side chain by substitution with is more stable than the natural E. coli ribonuclease HI.
