Method for producing biphenyl monocarboxylic acid methyl ester |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Objective] A high-purity, high-purity biphenylmonocarboxylic acid methyl ester can be simply produced from an inexpensive raw material, biphenylmonocarboxylic acid, and methanol. [Constitution] Biphenyl monocarboxylic acid is treated with an acid catalyst (eg p -Toluenesulfonic acid) to react with methanol for esterification. |
