Silver halide photographic emulsion |
abstract |
(57) Abstract: To improve the performance of a silver halide photographic emulsion. A silver halide photographic emulsion containing radiation-sensitive composite silver halide grains comprising a host grain portion accounting for 50% or more of the total silver amount and a surface portion epitaxially deposited on the host grain portion. The surface part is the third to third part of the periodic table. 1 shows a face-centered cubic crystal lattice structure containing a hexacoordinated complex of a metal selected from Groups 14, 4, 5 and 6. One or more organic ligands each containing one or more carbon-carbon bonds, one or more carbon-hydrogen bonds or one or more carbon-nitrogen-hydrogen bond sequences occupy less than half of the metal coordination sites in the coordination complex. . More than half of the metal coordination sites in the coordination complex are provided by halogen or pseudohalogen ligands. |
