(57) [Summary] [Objective] A composition used for the treatment of diabetic complications. [Structure] 6-desaturated n-6 fatty acid, particularly γ-linolenic acid (GLA), dihomo in the treatment of long-term complications of diabetes mellitus (including prophylactic treatment) and in the preparation of a medicament for the treatment (including prophylactic treatment) Use of γ-linolenic acid (DGLA) or arachidonic acid (AA) with a pharmaceutically acceptable substance that reduces intracellular levels of sorbitol in the body; pharmaceutical composition of said substance; and 6- Ascorbic acid ester itself of desaturated n-6 fatty acids (other than GLA or DGLA). |
