titleOfInvention | Method for quantifying pyruvic acid and reagent for quantifying the same |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Structure] When quantifying pyruvic acid in a subject, putrescine and putrescine transaminase are allowed to act on the subject, and the resulting 4-aminobutanal is oxidized nicotinamide coenzyme and 4-aminobutanal. A method for quantifying pyruvic acid, which comprises allowing aminobutanal dehydrogenase to act and quantifying the amount of reduced nicotinamide coenzyme produced by the reaction. [Effects] The method for quantifying pyruvic acid according to the present invention is not affected by the conventionally used inhibitors in the sample represented by serum or urine, and the initial absorbance during quantification is kept low. Furthermore, it is a method that overcomes the drawbacks of conventional pyruvic acid determination methods that do not use unstable compounds such as acetyl-CoA. Therefore, the method for quantifying pyruvic acid and the reagent for quantifying pyruvic acid according to the present invention can carry out the quantification of pyruvic acid as a daily routine easily, in a short time, and with high accuracy. |
