titleOfInvention | Electrophotographic photoreceptor and image forming method |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide an electrophotographic photosensitive member having excellent electric characteristics and having little image quality defect, and to provide an image forming method for forming an image having no image quality defect by a contact charging method. In an electrophotographic photosensitive member having an undercoat layer provided between a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer, the undercoat layer contains a copolymer resin having a hydrolyzable silyl group. The copolymer resin having a hydrolyzable silyl group is preferably an acrylic copolymer resin. Further, the undercoat layer may contain metal oxide particles. When an image is formed using this electrophotographic photosensitive member, a method in which a charging device is brought into contact with the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member and an electric charge is supplied from the outside to charge it can be adopted. |
