abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a developer capable of stably processing a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material using a quaternary onium compound as a nucleating agent. A halogenated compound having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support and containing at least one onium salt derivative in at least one of the emulsion layer and other hydrophilic colloid layers. An image forming method, which comprises treating a silver photographic light-sensitive material with a developing solution containing an ascorbic acid type developing agent and sulfite ion in an amount of 1.0 × 10 −4 mol to 1.0 mol per liter. |
