abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] Organoaluminum compound content is 0.1-1 Hydrocarbon medium of 0000 wtppm, water content 0.5 ~ A method for removing a trace amount of an organoaluminum compound in a hydrocarbon medium, which comprises removing the organoaluminum compound from the hydrocarbon medium by a contact treatment using a 15 wt% silicon oxide-containing compound. According to the present invention, there is provided a method for efficiently and safely adsorbing and removing a trace amount of an organoaluminum compound from a hydrocarbon medium. Therefore, for example, when the solvent after polymerization is purified and reused in slurry or bulk polymerization of polyolefin or the like, the method of the present invention can be used and is industrially useful.
