(57) [Summary] [Structure] A monoclonal antibody having reactivity with the major proteins of the outer membrane of Chlamydia pneumoniae and having strong reactivity with the elementary bodies of Chlamydia pneumoniae, its antibody-producing cells, and Method for producing antibody and method for detecting Chlamydia pneumoniae. [Effect] It can be used for detection of Chlamydia pneumoniae because it reacts with MOMP contained in a large amount and has a very strong reactivity to EB of Chlamydia pneumoniae by the fluorescent antibody method. It is useful as various diagnostic methods and various reagents for specifically detecting Chlamydia pneumoniae or MOMP thereof, and also as a drug. The antibody-producing cells of the present invention are also useful as a source of antibody genes in addition to producing the above-mentioned antibodies. |
