titleOfInvention Alkenyl succinic acid emulsion size agent
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Objective] The present invention is a novel alkenyl succinic acid which is excellent in storage stability at high concentration and imparts a high size effect to paper under papermaking conditions in a wide pH range and at high temperature. System emulsion sizing agent. The present invention is mainly composed of 70 to 95 parts by weight of alkenyl succinic acid obtained from a reaction product of a branched internal olefin having 12 to 18 carbon atoms and maleic anhydride, and 30 to 5 parts by weight of oxidized wax. The active ingredient is dispersed in water by partially or completely saponified copolymer of anionic unsaturated monomer and nonionic unsaturated monomer, or a mixture of it and an emulsifier, solid content concentration of 30% or more Of the emulsion size.
