titleOfInvention Separation method of primary alcohol components in vetiver oil
abstract (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Purpose] The high content of vetiver, which is a component of vetiver oil, and the odor that is not soily are considered high grade. However, since vetiver oil is dull and has a bluish texture, it is possible to remove this odor. Alternatively, in order to increase the content of vetiver, the primary alcohol component, which is a key substance present in vetiver oil, is separated by an efficient method without heat history. A method is characterized in that a half-alcohol half-ester obtained by reacting vetiver oil with succinic anhydride is adsorbed on an ion exchange resin and then desorbed to hydrolyze the half-ester. And a method for separating primary alcohol in vetiver oil.
