abstract (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for producing polydiphenylsilmethylene in which unreacted monomers can be easily removed or which does not contain unreacted monomers. [Structure] 1,1,3,3-tetraphenyl-1,3- Disilacyclobutane is used as a monomer and dissolved in diphenylsulfone, and a catalyst is added or not added at a temperature at which polydiphenylsilmethylene and 1,1,3,3-tetraphenyl-1,3-disilacyclobutane described later are dissolved. A method for producing polydiphenylsilmethylene by heating without heating the monomer.
