abstract | (57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a slide-bead coating device that increases the maximum differential pressure at which the formation of coating ribs starts. The slide-bead application technique uses a double slide that includes an upper slide surface that connects with a lower slide surface that terminates at the application lip. The substrate is transported over the coating roll past the coating lip to form a liquid bead at a coating location located between the coating lip and the substrate. The coating position is 10 degrees or more but 50 degrees or less below the horizontal center plane passing through the rotation axis on the outer periphery of the coating roll. The lower slide surface forms an angle between 85 and 95 degrees with the plane contacting the surface of the substrate in the coating position. |
