A first count value of a first counter nMFA that counts the number of misfires for each predetermined ignition cycle is compared with a first reference value MFTDCA and a second reference value MFTDCBC / 5 that is smaller than the first reference value MFTDCA ( S47, 49). First When the count value of is greater than the first reference value, it is determined that the combustion state adversely affects the exhaust system components (S48).
