(57) [Summary] (Modified) [Purpose] A subsystem for maintenance is prepared for the wearing band or vest, and is used to interface with the wearing band or vest, and also via an appropriate telephone link. Providing a system that can communicate with health care managers in remote locations. [Structure] The wearing band or vest is a sensing electrode for monitoring the condition of the heart, a microprocessor with a memory for processing a signal received from the sensing electrode and comparing the signal with patient data, and a signal received from the microprocessor. It incorporates a skin contact pulse electrode that responds by applying an electrical pulse to the chest wall of the patient. The electrodes include a self-tightening mechanism and an electrolyte gel release mechanism to reduce the impedance of the electrode-skin interface. |
