titleOfInvention | Subcutaneously implantable lead |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To reduce the need to remove a subcutaneously implanted lead used in a device such as a cardiac pacemaker from the body. [Structure] A lead 10 that can be implanted subcutaneously in a human body used for cardiac pacing. It has a proximal end that connects to a medical device and a distal end. Also, an active fixation device such as a spiral electrode 40 having a distal end and a proximal end, a tissue fixation means extending from the distal end of the lead body, an electrical conductor extending between the proximal and distal ends of the lead. Further, it has a radiopaque marker 35 attached to the lead body 10 in the vicinity of the tissue fixing means and extending vertically and showing rotational movement or deformation by an X-ray fluoroscopic inspection. |
