To provide a method and an apparatus that enable accurate detection of a faulty section even in a multi-rail combined tower. [Structure] Fault current measuring means 100 arranged at appropriate intervals along a power transmission line, delay means for delaying an output signal of the fault current measuring means by N / 2 cycles (N is a positive integer), and the fault current.
