titleOfInvention Process for producing optically active 1-benzyloxy-2-alkanol
abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] In 1,2-alkyldiol derivatives, 1 To provide a method for efficiently obtaining a compound having a structure in which another functional group is easily introduced into the oxy group at the position. [Structure] Belonging to the genus Corynebacterium or Micrococcus and acting on a mixture of R- and S-forms of 1-benzyloxy-2-acetoxyalkane, the R-forms are selectively hydrolyzed to form R-forms. Of a microorganism having the ability to produce 1-benzyloxy-2-alkanol, for example, a culture solution of Corynebacterium glutamicum ATCC13059, a bacterial body or a treated product of the microorganism, and an R-form of the 1-benzyloxy-2-acetoxyalkane. A method for producing an optically active 1-benzyloxy-2-alkanol, which comprises reacting with a mixture of S-forms and collecting the produced R-form 1-benzyloxy-2-alkanols.
