titleOfInvention | Agglomeration of latex with a mixture of organic acid and organic acid anhydride |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide a method for agglomerating small-sized rubber particles in an aqueous latex to form large-sized rubber particles. [Structure] In the agglomeration method, in order to facilitate the agglomeration of small-sized rubber particles into large-sized rubber particles containing essentially no coagulated matter, prior to the agglomeration of the rubber particles, A water-soluble organic acid and a water-soluble organic acid anhydride are added to the latex. Larger rubber particle latices are useful in making ABS polyblends. |
