abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide a heat source that does not lead to environmental pollution or environmental destruction. [Configuration] Heavy water 12 can be electrolyzed by using the radioactive element-containing palladium alloy 11 as a cathode and the electrode 13 as an anode. By this operation, a high concentration of deuterium is stored inside the radioactive element-containing palladium alloy 11. The deuterium stored here interacts with the radiation emitted from the radioactive material to promote the nuclear reaction of deuterium. Since the nuclear reaction newly creates high-energy particles, a large amount of heat is generated here. |
