titleOfInvention Method of manufacturing friction material
abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] A method for producing a friction material according to the present invention comprises a method of forming a friction material-forming composition containing a rubber material, a thermosetting resin and a base fiber into a product shape before a vulcanization step. It is characterized in that the preliminary product punched and punched is vulcanized to produce a friction material having a predetermined shape, and the residual material produced in the punching step is used again as a composition for forming a friction material. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the above residual material is dissolved in a solvent and used again as a friction material forming composition. [Effect] In the present invention, since the punching step is performed before the vulcanization step, the residual material produced during the production of the friction material is not vulcanized and can be easily recycled, and the yield of the friction material is increased. The rate is remarkably high at 85 to 90%. Therefore, the industrial waste generated during the production of the friction material can be remarkably reduced. Further, in such a friction material manufacturing method, since the preliminary product for friction material having a predetermined shape obtained in the punching step is vulcanized, it is possible to accurately control the pressure and heating conditions. It is possible to obtain a friction material having excellent quality such as hardness without variation in quality.
