abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Purpose] To obtain nuclear fuel pellets with little variation in density. [Structure] In the manufacturing process of nuclear fuel pellets, crystalline cellulose is used as a density reducing agent. Since this crystalline cellulose has a high melting point, it is unlikely to be altered in the mixed powder with the plutonium powder due to heat generation and heat storage of plutonium, such as melting or thermal decomposition, and it is possible to reduce variations in pellet density. |
