abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] General Formula (I) (R 1 is H, an alkyl group which may have a substituent or an alkenyl group which may have a substituent; R 2 is a protecting group of H or OH; R 3 and R 4 are H, a substituent Represents an alkyl group which may have a substituent, an alkenyl group which may have a substituent, an alkoxyl group or an aryl group which may have a substituent, or R 3 and R 4 together represent A group represented by the formula -CH = CH-CH = CH-; R 5 is H or an alkyl group; Q is a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group; n is an integer of 1 to 4) or a thiochroman derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. [Effect] It has a high lipoxygenase inhibitory action, a thromboxane A 2 synthesis inhibitory action, a pharmacological action such as a scavenging action of reactive oxygen species, or is useful as a synthetic intermediate for a compound having such an action.
