| abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] A washing machine in the form of accommodating a small lump that activates the cage-shaped shell with a large number of water-permeable voids by contacting it with a washing bath. In the laundry assisting tool to be used by putting it in the washing bath, the laundry assisting ability of the small lumps is sufficiently exerted. According to the present invention, in the laundry assisting tool of the above-mentioned type, the shell 1 is formed into a spherical shape by combining a cage member 11 extending in a longitudinal direction and a cage member 12 extending in a latitudinal direction.
