(57) [Summary] [Objective] A method for producing trisalkylphenyl phosphite by reacting phosphorus trihalide with mono- and dialkylphenols in the presence of a catalyst to achieve high purity and high yield. [Structure] A metal oxide of Group 2A of the periodic table, for example, magnesium oxide or calcium oxide is used as a catalyst in an amount of 0.01 to 5.00% by weight based on the alkylphenol. [Effect] The reaction conditions are mild, the reaction time is relatively short, and a high-purity product with high yield can be obtained. No neutralization step is required to remove the catalyst, it can be easily removed by filtration, and almost no residue remains in the product. |
