titleOfInvention Recovery method of dimethyl terephthalate
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] Development of an efficient method for recovering terephthalic acid (dimethyl) from the alkaline waste liquid generated during the alkali reduction treatment of polyester fiber. [Structure] Dimethyl terephthalate obtained by acidifying an alkaline waste liquid by-produced when the polyester fiber is alkali-reduced with mineral acid, and by-produced when dimethyl terephthalate is obtained by the Bitten-Hercules method A method in which methanol is introduced into RES having a boiling point higher than that of DMT and evaporated to recover DTM.
