(57) [Summary] (Modified) [Objective] To provide a dye-receiving element for thermal dye transfer which does not contaminate upon fusion of the image-receiving element. [Structure] The dye receiving element for thermal dye transfer is an ANSI The average surface roughness Ra measured by D-46.1 is 0.03. It comprises a polymeric dye image-receiving portion 10 having a surface roughened to be .about.0.5 .mu.m. The element further includes an integral polymer frame portion 20 that extends around the periphery of the dye image receiving portion 10. The frame portion 20 has a thickness of 1/2 to 3 mm. The element is suitable for forming a slide for projection viewing. |
