titleOfInvention Peltier element
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To provide a Peltier element having high corrosion resistance against moisture. [Structure] A water repellent treatment is applied to at least a part of a surface of an electrically conductive portion and an electrically insulating material surrounding and supporting it. In addition, the surfaces of the thermoelectric material and the metal material that are in contact with the outside air are covered with a coating that is electrically insulating and has low moisture permeability. Even if moisture adheres due to dew condensation, it does not form a water film and repels water droplets, so electrochemical metal elution and corrosion during energization are less likely to occur, and durability is improved.
